Neolith GREEN Certifications and Properties

300x198 one hundred percent natural100% Natural: Made with natural clay, feldspar, silica and mineral oxides, Neolith® does not emit toxic gases into the atmosphere when exposed to fire or extremely high temperatures.

300x162 one hundred percent recyclable

Recyclable: Due to its natural composition, Neolith® can be recycled. Up to 52% of any Neolith slab is comprised of recycled raw materials.

300x180 waterproofNear-0 porosity: With a porosity of less than 0.08%, Neolith® is absorption-proof meaning it is a hygienic product that is resistant to bacteria that accumulate in the environment and can cause disease and allergies.

Less raw materials = less erosion: Neolith® slabs are made of less raw materials than other product categories because of the thinness which reduces the erosion of the soil where they are found.

Lower CO2 emissions: The thin slabs make for lighter tiles. With Neolith®, it’s possible to transport more than double the surface quantity than it is for thicker products like marble, granite and quartz. The lower weight and thinness of the load means more efficient transport, thereby considerably reducing our CO2 emissions.

Optimized energy consumption: The high resistance of Neolith® to extremely high and low temperatures means it is ideal for ventilated facades. The thermal insulation and ventilation between a Neolith® facade and the very building considerably optimizes the building’s energy consumption (up to 40%).

Neolith® + Pureti = Self-Cleaning and Sustainable Facades

Neolith® has joined the environmental conservation efforts with the market launch of a revolutionary treatment for its SKYLINE facade line: PURETI, an aqueous and titanium dioxide nanoparticle-based treatment that is sprayed on Neolith® to create a photocatalytic, self-cleaning and decontaminating effect.

Neolith digital printing with HYDRO-NDD 2.0

Over the last couple of years, Neolith has observed a growing environmental awareness amongst designers regarding the materials specified for both residential and commercial spaces. This lead to the development of HYDRO-NDD 2.0.

HYDRO-NDD 2.0 is a water based decoration technique which greatly reduces the contaminating emissions sent into the environment from traditional printing methods. The new technology will deliver the same high quality colour and textural definition expected from Neolith’s surfaces with reduced pollutant output.

The revolutionary new process achieves exactly the same, high-quality patterns but with a far lower carbon footprint. This offers designers more possibilities than ever before to realise their dream spaces whilst also emphasising Neolith’s commitment to being the most sustainable Sintered Stone brand on the market.
