Overview

These are semi-transparent or opaque molten glass mosaic colors. The tesserae are produced by pouring molten glass through two molds, then subjecting them to an annealing process. Made using up to 55% post-consumer recycled glass.

Applications

  • Vitreo mosaic can be laid on floors or vertically on interior and exterior surfaces. It is also suitable for water applications, such as shower trays or swimming pools. The size of the tesserae (2 x 2 cm) and the frequency of the joint (1 mm) mean the surface has inherent slip resistance.
  • The effect is permanent and does not involve the addition of other materials, nor does the roughness of the surface damage tissues with which it comes into contact, with barefoot slip resistance reaching class C and shoes attaining class R11. Although the mosaic is waterproof, this does not preclude waterproofing the foundation substrate in swimming pool and similar applications.
